GDB International INC Sustainability story Nov 21

GDB International INC. is one of the leading paint and paint-related raw materials recycling companies. Over the last 25+ years, GDB has grown into a multinational conglomerate within the global paint industry, with recycling centers in several states in the USA. Since 1997, GDB’s team of highly skilled professionals work to reduce the environmental degradation caused by the paint industry by recycling over 1.8 billion lbs. of various paint and raw materials.

GDB has robust product stewardship programs to recycle millions of gallons of leftover paint generated in 11 states in the USA. In addition, GDB has partnered with major paint manufacturers to handle the distressed/obsolete paint and raw materials of the paint industry.  GDB has successfully developed safe and clean, environmentally friendly paint products while keeping our socio-ecological responsibilities at the forefront of every business decision. GDB has operations in North America, Europe, and Australia, and has a  logistical footprint of 1.9 million sq. ft of recycling and distribution facilities, where more than 300+ hard-working and dedicated professionals work to supply consistent good quality paint to a wide range of customers. From the largest paint manufacturers to small-scale distributors and retailers, our extended supply chain serves all types of customers affiliated with the paint industry. We are proud partners of the American Coating Association and Paint Care. We are also founding members of IPRA (International Paint Recycling Association), where our CEO and founder of GDB’s paint recycling program, Sanjeev Bagaria, serves as the President.

Keeping the environment as our foremost priority, GDB’s paint recycling process adheres to a zero-waste policy. The GDB Way encompasses a complete paint supply chain and turns it into a sustainable cycle by recycling surpluses and post-consumer paint, leading the paint industry towards zero waste. We handle recyclable paint from paint manufacturers, warehouses and distribution centers, paint retailers, and finally, the leftover paint generated after the consumer purchases. All the old, off-spec, and left-over paint stored in the garages and basements of consumers are brought back to one of GDB’s recycling centers, where it is given a new lease of life.

At GDB, we strongly believe that sustainability is the future of the paint and coatings industry, and that is where our expertise in technology and infrastructure has helped us to firmly establish our product stewardship programs. Our focus on being a technology-first company has allowed us to turn GDB’s circular economy model into a reality. Achieving an optimal recycling rate is a key objective of everyone at GDB. Reusing and effectively repurposing the left-over post-consumer paint is a revolutionary step that has helped us become market leaders.

Our mission is to provide a sustainable solution for off-spec material from our suppliers, offer economical and environmentally friendly paint in the market, and reduce waste streams to safeguard the environment. We strive to constantly innovate by investing in our paint recycling, tirelessly paving the way for a leaner, cleaner, and greener paint industry worldwide.

“Paint is our Passion.”
